Natasha Files is new to the School of Social Work and Human Services as of Summer 2016. Prior to this, she taught in a clinical capacity and offered training for parents and clinicians in the area of Emotion Focused Family Therapy. She has worked as a social worker in the area of Mental Health since 2010, with a special focus on eating disorders, women's issues, family therapy, psychiatric emergency, and research. She is well-known for her success in the treatment of eating disorders and is a published author in this area. Natasha completed her MSW-Clinical Specialization at the University of Calgary in 2012.


Member (in good standing) of the British Columbia Association of Social Workers(BCASW) and a Registered Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW).
