Janet Carroll`s Biography

It is exhilarating to work with future educators in the Teacher Education Department at UFV.

Before joining TED as one of the Program Coordinators, I was fortunate to work for many years in K – 12 public education as a teacher, counsellor and administrator. My work in the Teacher Education Program involves the coordination of Teacher Candidate placements, liaison with local school districts, recruitment and training of Faculty Mentors, as well as teaching (Professional Communication – Education 440).

I am very interested in the areas of teacher mentoring, induction, and engagement, particularly as they relate to the pre-service and early career teacher.

When not working, I love to spend time with my dogs, paint, write, act, direct, hike, travel and read.
