Suki Grewal`s Biography
I joined the University of the Fraser Valley in September 2008. I’ve completed the Business Administration diploma at UFV (then known as UCFV) in 2004 and while studying here thought what a great place this would be to work. Four years later, I was the successful candidate for a position in the Dean’s office in the College of Arts. In 2013, I decided to take on another challenge and was successful in obtaining the departmental assistant position for the Teacher Education and Adult Education departments.
I enjoy living in the Fraser Valley but it took 16 years to accomplish this. I was born and raised in Prince George and when my parents decided to move to the Lower ‘Rainland’ (what the Mainland is referred to up north), my brother and I adamantly said we did not want to move to Abbotsford! It just wouldn’t have been as exciting to leave one small town for another.
After getting married in 1998, my worst fear came true. I would be moving to Abbotsford! However, after 16 years of marriage and starting a family here, the city has grown on me. My work in the Teacher Education Department has helped me appreciate the great teachers that are working in local schools and teaching my two beautiful boys. Besides Abbotsford having the university where I would one day like to continue my studies, it finally has some great shopping!
