Dugg is an experienced educator, researcher, and education consultant focusing on the purposeful integration of technology into the classroom to enhance students' education experience and engagement. Dugg’s passion within education leans towards non-traditional delivery, blended and distance learning, and open education resources.
Prior to joining the Teaching and Learning Centre Dugg was a faculty member and program coordinator at institutes in British Columbia and Ontario. His teaching has been within Centre of Excellence, Development and Learning, and Health Sciences at Justice Institute of British Columbia, Fanshawe College, and McMaster University. Additionally, Dugg has 25 years experience as a paramedic and has taught pre-hospital, wilderness, and retrieval medicine to organizations and individuals across North and Central America. Dugg has developed curriculum and training programs for the Canadian and US military, government agencies, colleges and universities. He is a published researcher, has authored textbook chapters, eTextbooks, and open education resources and has been a member of several specialized medical response teams including helicopter-based and CBRNe teams.
Dugg feels it's important to know that he hates referring to himself in the third person and is not a big fan of Brussels sprouts, but is very excited to see how education continues to evolve internationally.
