Bringing virtual reality to the classroom
Discover the emerging technology of 360-degree photos/videos and test simple virtual reality gear (Google cardboard style). The focus of this workshop is placed on technology, and how it can be used in the classroom. In this session, you can expect to:
- learn about potential uses of 360 video and still images for educational purposes;
- learn how to shoot, post and manipulate 360-degree videos and stills online;
- understand the rules of composition and shooting in 360 degrees.
Participants should bring a smartphone, laptop, or tablet.
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: free for UFV faculty and staff.
