Visual Arts Programs —

Whether you choose a specific focus or a more interdisciplinary approach to your studies, the Visual Arts Department at UFV offers a range of opportunities to develop your creative and critical abilities in an individually tailored certificate, diploma, or degree program.

There are many academic paths you can pursue in the Visual Arts: Indigenous arts, and visual arts; a Visual Arts Diploma; minors and extended minors in a variety of subjects; a major in Visual Arts; and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. MAJORS AND  MINORS - The BFA currently offers a major in Visual Arts.

Major in Visual Arts

A minor can be added to the Major in Visual Arts from one of the following areas:

Minor in Creative Writing
Minor in Fashion
Minor in Graphic and Digital Design
Minor in Media and Communication Studies
Minor in Theatre

- The degree can also be completed by combining extended minors in two fine arts disciplines. Double extended minors are offered in the following areas:

Extended Minor in Creative Writing

Extended Minor in Fashion
