Co-operative Education


English Language Requirements

Students registering in post-secondary level courses (numbered 100 to 499) will be required to meet the English language entrance proficiency requirements. Students in ESL or the University Foundations programs can register in those courses identified in the University Foundations program with lower levels of language proficiency.

COOP 110

6 credits

Co-op Work Term Performance and Report I

Prerequisite(s): Acceptance to the Co-op option of the student's academic program.

These courses provide students with the opportunity to apply what they've learned in their academic studies through 12-18 week, full-time, paid, career-oriented work experiences at employer sites. Students will be required to write a work term report for each experience. The employer and the Co-op Ed staff evaluate students. Work term assignments should become progressively more challenging as students pass through the Co-op program.

6 credits

Co-op Work Term Performance and Report II

Prerequisite(s): COOP 110

These courses provide students with the opportunity to apply what they've learned in their academic studies through 12-18 week, full-time, paid, career-oriented work experiences at employer sites. Students will be required to write a work term report for each experience. The employer and the Co-op Ed staff evaluate students. Work term assignments should become progressively more challenging as students pass through the Co-op program.
