History
This section specifies the History major discipline requirements only. Please refer to the Bachelor of Arts section for information on additional application requirements, including the requirements for declaring a major. Please check the Bachelor of Arts residency section of the calendar for how many upper-level credits must be completed at UFV in order to graduate with this program.
Three 100- or 200-level credits in each of the following three breadth areas:
Note: Students may count three credits from THEA 203/ENGL 233 or THEA 204/ENGL 234 towards their History major or extended minor requirements.

Canada/US: one of HIST 101, 102, 103, 205, 221, 241, 242

Note 1: Students interested in teaching history at the high school level should take five upper-level courses (20 credits) to satisfy the requirements for a teachable subject.
Note 2: No more than four credits may be in Directed Studies courses.
