Fashion Design

Fashion extended minor

The Fashion extended minor may be paired with the Visual Arts major as part of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program, or with any other BFA extended minor as listed in the BFA section of the calendar. This section specifies the extended minor requirements only. Please refer to the Bachelor of Fine Arts section for information on additional requirements, and see the Note below for important information about program completion.

Lower-level requirements: 21 credits

• 21 credits chosen from any 100-level FD courses, FD 271, FD 290, or FD 291

Upper-level requirements: 15 credits

• 15 credits of 300- or 400-level FD courses (may include FD 340/AH 340 and/or FD 341/AH 341)

Note: BFA students may declare the Fashion extended minor, but should be advised that UFV will not be offering a wide range of Fashion Design courses in the near future, due to the discontinuation of the Fashion Design diploma. To complete these programs, credit will need to have been obtained previously, or achieved through transfer credit. Residency requirements still apply.


Fashion minor

• 12 credits chosen from FD 113, FD 115, FD 163, FD 171, FD 172, FD 174, FD 180, FD 193, or FD 271

Upper-level requirements: 15 credits

• 15 credits of 300- or 400-level FD courses (may include FD 340/AH 340 and/or FD 341/AH 341)
