Updates to the Academic Calendar

Scheduled updates to the Academic Calendar are made in the Fall and Winter semesters.

The Fall 2024 update was completed in early November and included the following updates:

• Business Analytics post-baccalaureate diploma (changes to entrance requirements)
• History major and History extended minor (addition of HIST 427 as an option)
• International Business post-baccalaureate diploma (changes to entrance requirements)
• Changes related to UFV's updated Course Repeat policy (86), effective September 1, 2024
• Notice of increased prerequisites for some courses

The Winter 2025 update was completed in early March and included notice of the following:

• New programs starting September 2025:
  • Journalism minor
  • AI and Machine Learning post-baccalaureate diploma
  • Cybersecurity post-baccalaureate diploma
  • Software Engineering post-baccalaureate diploma
• Program changes for September 2025:
  • Business Analytics post-baccalaureate diploma changing to Financial Analytics post-baccalaureate diploma
  • School and Community Support Worker certificate changing to Inclusive Education Assistant certificate
