Note 1: A minimum of 18 credits are usually required for entrance into teacher education training programs for secondary schools (e.g. UFV's Teacher Education program's Secondary option). Please refer to professional education program admissions requirements for more information.
Note 2: No more than four credits may be in Directed Studies/Directed Readings courses (GEOG 483 or discontinued courses GEOG 480, GEOG 481, GEOG 482, or GEOG 484).
Note 3: No more than six credits of ENV 412 (formerly GEOG 412), GEOG 396/GDS 310/SOC 396, GEOG 398/GDS 311/SOC 398, GEOG 470, and PLAN 460 (formerly GEOG 460) can be used towards meeting the extended minor requirements.
This section specifies the minor discipline requirements only. The Geography minor can be completed in a number of degree programs, but cannot be completed as part of the Bachelor of Environmental Studies or Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Natural Sciences). Please refer to the appropriate degree for information on additional requirements. Students are encouraged to consult an Academic Advisor early to ensure timely completion.
