How to apply
Applications will open on April 1, 2012
The Faculty of Science offers Science Rocks! summer camp every year in July- August. Designed especially for young people in Grades 4, 5, and 6 (campers going into Grade 4 or 7 are eligible). These camps are great fun and an awesome learning opportunity for campers.

For returning campers: we changed the themes for the weeks so that every week includes all the various science areas. In any of the weeks you can expect to do activities from Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Geography and Kinesiology.

to campers. |
Time
Each camp will run from 8 am to 5 pm and includes lunch every day. Drop-off is between 8 and 8:30 a.m. and pick-up between 4:30 and 5 p.m.
Location
We are either indoors or outside depending on the weather and the activity.

Student/leader ratio
We have a limit of 30 campers/week. They will be divided into three groups, which each will have a UFV Science student facilitator to lead them through the activities (so instructor to camper ratio is 1:10). One or more UFV Science Faculty members will be on hand at all times, in addition to the leader-facilitators and one lead instructor.
