New students and their supporters should attend the Virtual new Student Orientation "Discover Your UFV". A full schedule and sign-up for this event will be available when details are finalised.

Academic Advisors will guide you as to which classes to select for your first semester, the Office of the Registrar will show you how to register and you will learn about resources available at UFV to help you succeed at University.

Your wellness is important to us so on the booking form you can select:

  • Virtual appointment - your Academic Advisor will send you a link on the day of your session so that you can connect on Blackboard Collaborate.
  • Phone appointment  - your Academic Advisor will call you at the meeting date and time
  • Email appointment   - your Academic Advisor will respond to your questions via email*

*Quick questions of any kind can be answered by emailing advising@ufv.ca. Our friendly staff will respond to you or forward your query to the Academic Advisor for your program or one of our Future Student Advisors.

Book Your Workshop/Seminar

We know that starting a new life in Canada can be challenging, especially when getting accustomed to a new language, a new culture, and different laws. To help you get settled, UFV is offering a series of Immigration workshops at the Abbotsford campus.

You will learn all you need to know about study and work permits in order to make the most of your new Canadian life. You can also get your questions answered about the benefits of getting a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), while you consider whether to continue your studies or apply to work in Canada.

All workshops start at 4:00pm and finish at 5:00 pm and will be held in Building B, Room B121 on the Abbotsford Campus.

March 18

  • Sessions are free but prior registration is required
  • Have your UFV Student ID card with you
  • Only limited seating is available
  • Bring a copy of your immigration document to the session

✱ ✱ DUE TO COVID-19 we are not offering any workshops✱ ✱ When they do resume you will be able to participate ONLINE ONLY and not in person. We will send you a link ahead of the session so that you can join us.
