What is Orientation about?

One of our goals here at Student Life and UFV is to help ease the transition from where you are now, as a high school student, transfer student or mature student, to the life and culture at UFV. We want you to enjoy to the fullest your UFV educational experience. The New Student Orientation is your free one-day introduction to life as a UFV student. It is designed to help you succeed as a student, especially in your first year.

Why attend NSO?
During Orientation you will:
  • Hear from many UFV staff and faculty about the great courses and services available to you.
  • Get a tour of the campus from one of our knowledgeable Orientation Leaders (your fellow students). During the tour, your Orientation Leader will sit down with you and go over their experiences at UFV and some of the things you can expect while here. This is a great time to ask any questions you may have, no matter how big or small.
  • Meet awesome new people and make some great friends!

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to get ahead on your first day of classes!
