Alumni evening of theatre
The annual alumni evening of theatre event featuring Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the launch of the 2010 alumni commemorative wine was an enormous success. This Alumni Association annual signature event was offered free to UFV alumni and included a wine-and-cheese reception and raffle prizes. Due to overwhelming interest by alumni, a second evening of theatre was offered, made possible by sponsorship from the UFV Development office.
Be sure to keep in touch online to learn about dates for the 2011 Alumni evenings of theatre.
Abbotsford Heat fundraiser
The Alumni Association and the UFV Development office partnered with the Abbotsford Heat hockey club to offer alumni and donors discounted tickets to the most anticipated games of the season when the Heat took on the Manitoba Moose (the Vancouver Canucks’ farm team). Almost 300 UFV donors and alumni attended. Three dollars from each ticket purchased were donated to UFV student awards.
Absolute Style Fashion ShowThe Alumni Association was pleased once again to bring something special to the evening show of the Absolute Style fashion show on April 28. Hosting the wine-and-cheese reception has become something of an annual tradition. The Fashion Design department was pleased to offer discounted tickets to alumni.
