WELCOME
Established in 2004, the BC Centre for Safe Schools and Communities (CSSC) promotes safe, nurturing, and inclusive schools and communities for children and youth. The work of CSSC is accomplished through both formal and informal partnerships with practitioners and other community partners who share CSSC's commitment to providing research, evidence-informed approaches, and resources that support safe, healthy, and socially responsible schools and communities. CSSC has been operated by the University of the Fraser Valley since 2004 and is co-located with two other provincial Centres, the BC Centre for Social Responsibility and the BC Centre for Non Profit Development. Our Vision: Children and youth in BC are nurtured in safe, caring, and inclusive schools and communities in order to ensure their well-being and maximize their potential. Our Mission: To facilitate the use of evidence-informed approaches to promoting safe, healthy, and inclusive schools and communities. Our Website: Is designed to provide easy directional access to information, activities, and services.
