Visiting dignitaries
 |
British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell (centre) landed in Chandigarh on December 2, 2007, to kick off a six-day trade mission in India. UFV students provided an official welcome for him at the Chandigarh airport, and he delighted the group by taking the time to greet each and every student personally. They enjoyed another opportunity to interact with the Premier the following day, when he shared stories from his youth, passed on advice and posed for individual photos. (In Canada, a provincial Premier is equivalent to a state Chief Minister in India.) |
