Rayna Nasser, a sophomore in the General Studies program soon transitioning into Media Arts, reflects on her experience in CMNS 235: Public Speaking. Coming from a first-generation Lebanese immigrant family, Rayna balances school with her work as a bartender and enjoys recharging by reading, watching movies, and building miniature dioramas.
She enrolled in CMNS 235 on a whim and found it to be one of the best decisions of her time at UFV. While initially intimidated by impromptu speaking, she discovered confidence, adaptability, and the importance of speaking with purpose. The course has made conversations with peers and supervisors easier. Her advice to fellow students is simple: take the course.
At UFV's School of Communication, we prepare you for thriving careers in the communication industry. With experienced faculty and a range of opportunities for industry connections, you can gain essential skills in digital media, journalism, public relations, and beyond.
