David Orchard to speak at UCFV
One of
Canada
’s most fervent and
well-known nationalists will be speaking at UCFV in the near future.
David Orchard will speak on Canadian
sovereignty in an era of globalization at the
University
College
of the
Fraser
Valley
on Wednesday, November
27.
The free presentation is open to the public and will
include a Q&A session. It will be held in the Abbotsford campus lecture
theatre (B101) from
7–8:30 pm
.
David Orchard is a fourth-generation
Saskatchewan
grain farmer and author
of a best-selling book, The Fight for Canada: Four Centuries of Resistance to
American Expansionism. Orchard placed second to Joe Clark in the last
federal Progressive Conservative leadership race.
Although best known as a defender of Canadian
sovereignty, David Orchard is also an environmentalist with a long track record
of interventions to protect
Canada
’s threatened
environment and wildlife. He is a strong defender of the French fact throughout
Canada
.
A frequent guest on radio and TV programs and
debates, his articles on issues affecting the nation appear frequently in
Canada
’s major newspapers.
