Want some free advice about health-related topics?

University College of the Fraser Valley fourth-year nursing students will once again be honing their community education skills at the Cottonwood Mall in Chilliwack on Friday, November 15, when they host a free health fair.

Students are working on displays on topics such as heart health, menopause, diabetes, stress management, nutrition, sleep safety for infants, immunizations, car-seat safety, fire safety, drinking & driving, and prostate screening.

The fair is free, it runs from 1 through 5 pm in the area of the mall near London Drugs, and the students will be available to answer questions.

"The students choose their own topics and it=s a great opportunity for them to learn more about teaching health promotion," says instructor Janet Bergen.
