Who can be a mentor?
The UFV History Department is looking for mentors with a variety of skills and interests that include the following core requirements:
  • A declared major, extended minor, or minor in history at UFV
  • A history course specific minimum GPA of 3.33 (B+)
  • A minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • A plan for your own career and/or future education
  • A desire to help others

Other qulities that would be an asset include:

  • A positive and optimistic outlook
  • Knowledge of UFV services for students (Writing Centre, Clubs, Athletics, etc.)
  • Previous ecperience as a mentor or mentee
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

If you are a registered UFV student and interested in becoming a UFV history mentor, please fill out the Mentor Application Form and our co-ordinator will contact you via your email with further details.
