Exciting Continuing Education Opportunity for Library Technicians
Based on a nation-wide survey conducted in Fall 2008 by the Library and Information Technology Program at the University of the Fraser Valley, there is an overwhelming need for continuing education opportunities for credentialed library technicians. To meet this demand, we are developing a post-diploma program for library technicians beginning this fall.
The formal certificate program is under development and is expected to be completed by fall 2010 but courses can be taken starting in September.
Library Technician Post Diploma Program (new!)
This program is designed for those who have previously completed a Library Techncian diploma and are seeking to enhance their education in the field. Courses build on content delivered in the diploma by looking at specific aspects, challenges and topics in information work as they relate to library technicians. The program will delivered online and will soon be part of the library Techncian post-diploma certificate program
