UFV is committed to providing a safe environment for its employees and students to work and learn in. Occupational Health & Safety Office (OHSO), UFV Security, and Emergency Management work collectively with UFV employees and students to maintain a work environment which is free from violence, threats of violence, harassment, intimidation, and other disruptive behavior. Moreover, the rights of all employees to work without fear or concern for their personal safety and security are recognized. As a university UFV is committed that its employees and students should be able to work without fear of actions such as threatening behavior, written and verbal threats, harassment, verbal abuse and physical attacks.

Any incident of violence should be immediately reported to your supervisor or security. If ever in doubt, err on the side of caution and direct all urgent security requests to Local 7770.
