We are a committee made up from our various pillars on campus, who are devoted to making the UFV campus a more sustainable place to study and work. Come join us. We meet once per semester to help map out the framework for the university. The Centre for Environmental Sustainability is an umbrella group focussed on bringing together all things sustainable on campus.
Our Mission:
To foster a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility among students, faculty, staff, and the greater community.
Our Mandates:
- To foster multi- disciplinary research in environmental studies and sustainability
- To involve students in environmental research and community activities
- To encourage and support student leadership in environmental initiatives
- To promote environmental literacy and ideas of sustainability in teaching and learning
- To serve as an environmental resource centre for faculty, staff and students
- To advocate for policies on, practices of, and program development in environmental sustainability at our institution
- To collaborate with other institutions in activities that would benefit everybody
- To promote sustainability in Fraser Valley communities
