One of the most popular annual events to be held in the UFV Theatre lobby will be back again this year. The Third Annual Poetry Slam will take place, again in the theatre lobby, on Friday, February 11 at 7 p.m. The first two slams played to standing room only audiences, so get there early so you don’t miss the fun. Potential participants are advised to register at least one hour before the event on a first come first served basis. There are usually twelve spaces available for participating poets, who then proceed through several elimination rounds to choose the evening’s eventual winner. Audience reactions and a panel of judges are usually used to make the final decision.
