The annual Directors' Theatre Festival has grown by leaps and bounds during its eighteen year history. Once again this spring the two theatre spaces on the Chilliwack North campus will be buzzing with life and creativity, as student performers from UFV and the rest of BC strut their stuff on stage. The festival is a fringe-style event, featuring a cornucopia of one-act plays over a five-day period. Theatre lovers will be sure to find something to their liking with an eclectic blend of fare, featuring 25 shows this year. Along with our own talented students, UFV welcomes directors and performers from Capilano University, Thompson Rivers University, University of Victoria, UBC Okanagan, and Douglas College.
This year's 18th Annual Directors' Theatre Festival begins with a series of matinees and previews on Wednesday, April 24, progressing to the opening ceremony on Thursday, April 25 at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets for individual productions are only $5 each, with four packs of tickets selling for $15. A pass which covers all 23 productions in the event sells for only $40. For more information and reservations, please visit us in the box office, call 604.795.2814 or email theatre@ufv.ca.
