Q: How do I apply?

Q: Who is eligible to go?
A: All active students at UFV in any discipline who have earned a minimum of 30 credits.
Q: What is covered by the Program fees?
A: Accommodations, all scheduled tours, travel between cities and countries, and potentially a few meals.
Q: What are some expenses that are NOT covered?
A: Travel to and from Europe, travel insurance, student semester fees, and most food costs.
Q: If I am only taking this course in the Summer semester, do I still have to pay the semester student fees?
A: Students are still required to pay all Summer semester student/ancillary fees. However, the Student Union will waive the U-Pass and Campus Connector fees if you can provide the necessary information to show that you are not enrolled in any other classes in that specific semester. You must mention that you are taking part in the 2-week School of Business Study Tour when you are making the request, and provide documentation from the Office of the Registrar that you are only taking this course. Q: If I am an International student, what will I pay for tuition and fees?
A: Tuition will be paid per credit during the Summer semester, and regular student/ancillary fees apply.
Q: Will I have free time to sightsee during the Field School?
A: There will be a few travel days included in the Field School while travelling in Switzerland and France. In addition, most days will include some free time to take in the local sites. If you are interested in exploring other locations, we encourage you to take the opportunity to travel prior to the start date of the Field School or to stay after it is over.
Q: Do I need a visa?
A: If you are a Canadian citizen, you will not need a visa. However, if your citizenship is with another country, it is recommended you confirm visa requirements prior to applying.
Q: If I do need a visa, will UFV aid me in this process?
A: No. Visas are the responsibility of the student.
