Within Facilities Management, our priority is to ensure optimal functioning of the HVAC system to provide comfort for everyone at UFV. We are committed to identifying and rectifying deficiencies while enhancing the performance of our heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Proper management of HVAC systems also support sustainability at UFV.
Our HVAC systems are equipped with sensors that regulate indoor air temperatures, known as "setpoints," which are programmed within the system. Adjustments to these setpoints can be made based on feedback from the UFV community. Please contact Facilities Management at facilitiesservicedesk@ufv.ca if the temperature in your space is not staying at a comfortable level and we will work to address it.
Please note: Actions such as leaving windows and doors open or using space heaters can negatively impact HVAC system performance. These actions can cause the system to operate inefficiently, leading to energy waste and discomfort. To maintain optimal system performance and support sustainability efforts, we urge everyone to keep windows and doors closed and avoid using space heaters whenever possible. Together, we can ensure a comfortable and energy-efficient environment at UFV.
