Dean's Welcome

Welcome to the Faculty of Trades & Technology. The goal in the Faculty of Trades & Technology is to offer the very best education, coupled with skills training in many exciting fields. Our instructors/professors are professionals in their field and are continuously upgrading to ensure they are teaching the very newest technology.

Within our faculty, we also have a Continuing Studies department offering many short courses designed to meet the needs of today.

We also have a unique partnership with school districts, which is known as Career Technical Training. Senior secondary students combine their Grade 11 & 12 subjects with UFV certificate programs. Graduates of these programs have the option of seeking direct employment in their field of technical specialty or continuing their studies at the second-year level at UFV or another post-secondary institution.

Whether it is the newest trend in food preparation, or the newest technology used in the aerospace industry, our instructors/professors are teaching today for what is needed tomorrow.
