Get to know your campus community with Discover Your UFV this May.

Discover Your UFV is an opportunity to connect with other UFV students, get to know our campuses and resources, and prepare to start classes with confidence. If you’ve just graduated from high school, you’re starting university for the first time, or you’re returning after some time away, this event is for you!

All students who have been admitted to UFV for September 2019 and their supporters are invited to Discover Your UFV. This event will be held on three dates: May 14 and 15 at our Abbotsford campus and May 23 at our Chilliwack campus.

Sessions Descriptions

Student Resources Fair: Discover the resources available to UFV students! Learn about the Peer Resource and Leadership Centre, Campus Recreation, Counselling services, UFV Sustainability, Indigenous Student Centre, and much more.

Welcome to UFV: What does it mean to be a UFV student? We want to welcome you to the UFV community, and show you why UFV is an excellent place to be!

Registration Essentials: In this session, you will learn about submitting transcripts, logging in to myUFV, finding your registration time, important registration dates, and a general overview of how course registration works at UFV.

Campus Tours: Never been to campus? Be sure to attend a campus tour! Our UFV student volunteers are eagar to show you around campus and help you locate important resources like the book store and financial aid. Tours for supporters will be led by staff and faculty, and will highlight important student resources.

Supporting Your Student 101: This session will feature speakers who will talk about Financial Aid, student support services, career preparation, and post-secondary academic culture. Learn about resources available to your UFV student, and ways to support them in adjusting to post-secondary.
