Stó:lō Aboriginal Skills Employment Training (SASET) Culinary Arts Program

Get ready for a career in the culinary field in 3 months

Advance your skills and unlock career opportunities through the Stó:lō Aboriginal Skills & Employment Training (SASET) Culinary Arts program.

The 12-week pre-apprenticeship training offers a unique combination of theory and hands-on learning for Indigenous students. As part of the program, you complete your First Aid, Food Safe, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, and World Host certificates. You also get to apply your new skills during a two-week practicum in a commercial kitchen.

At the end of the program, you are ready for entry-level work in the culinary industry or further training.

Why choose the SASET Culinary Arts program?

  • More than 85% of the program graduates find employment.
  • You receive support for at least 12 months after graduation to help you navigate a new career in the hospitality industry.
