The UFV Trades Accuplacer assessment measures your reading comprehension ability and your writing ability (Writerplacer assessment). They are taken at the same time and are available for students who have applied, but do not meet the reading and writing entrance requirements.
Reading and writing entrance requirements differ for each trade. Please see the UFV Academic Calendar and click your specific trade to see the minimum reading and writing requirement under "Entrance Requirements."
The assessment consists of questions at a grade 12 level and there is no time-limit to complete the assessment. Successful completion of the assessment will satisfy the reading comprehension and writing entrance requirements.

Applicants will be waitlisted by the date they meet all entrance requirements; this date is set when an application, all required documentation, and the application fee have been submitted.
