Student success checklist
Complete the following items during your first week of classes. Not sure where to go? See our campus map.
- Pick up your UFV campus card
- Drop by the Chilliwack (Building A) or Abbotsford (Building S) card office
- Bring one piece of government-issued ID with you (digital copies not accepted)
- See Campus Card for current office hours at Abbotsford and Chilliwack
- Pre-pay for parking (if needed)
- Purchase a parking permit online or at the UFV bookstore
- Visit Student & visitor parking for more info
- Set up technology
- Activate your myUFV account
- Confirm password access
- Connect to UFV wifi
- Details available in the UFV student technology guide
- Get to know your SUS shuttle bus service
- You need your campus card ID to ride the shuttle between campuses
- Schedules & more info on the UFV-SUS campus shuttle page
- Purchase required textbooks & supplies
- Go to the UFV bookstore site
- Choose 'shop textbooks'
- Choose the correct semester
- Scroll down to TTC - Trades & Technology Centre and expand to find your courses
- Explore funding options, visit Financial Aid
- Search for available funding
- Apply for EI (apprenticeship students)
- Explore available awards & bursaries
- Go to Financial Aid & Awards
- Visit Centre for Accessibility Services (CAS)
- Find out about accommodations and support services
- Visit Centre for Accessibility Services
