Katie: Continuing to be a role model
As a teenage mom struggling to make ends meet, Katie was determined to find a way out of a low-paying job, and to be a positive role model to her kids. She reignited an early ambition of working in law and took the first step: the legal administrative assistant program at UFV. The program opened the door to working with a legal firm and allowed Katie to progress to becoming a paralegal. Now she’s found financial stability for her family and a satisfying career she can continue to grow over the long-term.
