CAS Exam info for faculty

Exam accommodations enable students to show their knowledge of the course materials when a disability or medical condition may impact their ability to complete exams under standard conditions.

To be eligible for exam accommodations, students must be registered with the Centre for Accessibility Services (CAS).

Exam Booking Requests

Booking in-person exams at the CAS Exam Centre is a student-led process. When a student makes an Exam Booking Request, faculty will receive an email asking them to log into Accommodate to provide exam details as soon as possible. Exam Booking Requests will not be approved until details have been provided by the instructor.

If a student does not submit an Exam Booking Request, please assume that the student will be writing their exam with the class without accommodations.

How to review exam requests

Online exams are only facilitated at the CAS Exam Centre if the online exam is scheduled to be written in-person on campus.

How to extend online exam times for students with exam accommodations

Students with additional time for examinations are responsible for contacting their instructors directly, in advance of their online quiz, test, or exam to ensure their additional time is extended in Blackboard.
