What you need to know about payment deadlines

Your tuition and fees are due in full by the payment deadline.

International students and Continuing Education students may have different payment deadlines.

Aim to pay in advance

The payment deadline is a busy time for the Office of the Registrar. Do your best to pay your fees early to avoid processing delays or line-ups.

Check your student account before making your payment

This will help prevent errors in the amount you pay. Learn more about how to check your account.

If you don't pay in full by the deadline

  • You will be charged a $50 late payment penalty.
  • You may be withdrawn from your courses for non-payment.
  • If you are withdrawn from your courses for non-payment, you will lose your $200 registration deposit.
  • To be re-instated in your classes after non-payment, you will need to pay the full amount plus the $200 deposit.

If you register late

If you register for courses after the fee payment deadline, you will pay a $20 per course late registration fee.

If you don't agree with the amount on your student account

You are required to pay in full for all classes you are registered in as of the payment deadline. There is no reduction in fees for withdrawals after the deadline. Even if you are disputing a charge or appealing for an additional fee reduction, pay your fees in full; you will be reimbursed if you are successful.

If you are a student loan recipient

If you a student loan recipient, you need to pay your tuition and fees by the payment deadline.

To ensure you receive your funding in time, carefully review the Schedule of Events information as it provides a detailed timeline.

If you have not received your loan document in the mail or your funds have not been deposited into your bank account by the fee payment deadline, please contact Financial Aid and Awards.

Deferring fees

If you have been approved for a government student loan, you may qualify for a deferral of your fees. Contact Financial Aid and Awards no later than four days before the fee payment deadline.

Note: The registration deposit of $200 is generally not deferred.
