When do you need to submit your application?
To allow adequate time for protocol reviews and agenda preparation, requests must be received by the Human Research Ethics Board in ROMEO by noon on Thursday, two weeks before the meeting date. Deadlines for submission are strictly observed.
New Course-based research applications must be submitted by the deadline. Late applications will not be approved in time for the upcoming semester. These timeframes apply to ‘review ready’ applications, namely applications that have been submitted to a high-quality standard, have complete supporting documents, and are fully developed.
Course-based research application renewals can be submitted anytime, but they all have an expiry date of Aug 31.
Important Note: There is no deadline for minimal risk applications. Please submit your project at any time and the Chair and Vice-Chair will determine if it can be delegated.
Meetings are at 4 pm Thursday Week 4 of the UFV meeting schedule (*some exceptions due to holidays). The HREB does not meet in July.
