email Jessica (Jing)Jessica Wang teaches livestock classes at UFV and holds a Ph.D. in Animal Science from the University of Saskatchewan.
Before joining UFV, she worked as Project and Business Manager at the Canadian Feed Research Centre, where she led commercial contracts and established an institutional grant program to assist small to medium-sized enterprises in innovation. She managed and delivered projects focused on byproduct utilization, feed evaluation, and testing, bridging academic research with industry applications to help commercial clients turn ideas into practical solutions for livestock and other industry sectors.
Jessica has extensive experience with feed regulatory and quality control systems, including the Canadian Feed Inspection Agency (CFIA) feed registrations and the FeedAssure® program. She has supported commercial feed mills in developing HACCP plans and also supported multiple clients with Canadian feed registrations.
Her research and professional interests include the utilization and evaluation of byproducts, feed regulation, and the interactions between feed processing, animal nutrition, and gut health.
