Math Department Pre-Calculus Test (MDPT) $25
The Math Department Pre-Calculus Test (MDPT) is a Grade 12 math ability indicator for the Mathematics and Statistics department only. It is a closed-book exam that covers the major topics of BC Math 12: algebra, functions, equations and inequalities, exponential and logarithmic functions, and trigonometry. Calculators and other electronics (including translators) are NOT allowed during the exam. Students may only write the MDPT once.
The MDPT may be used as a prerequisite for MATH 110 and MATH 111 if you achieve the scores listed below:
- At least 55% for entrance into MATH 110 Pre-Calculus Math
- At least 70% for entrance into MATH 111 Calculus I

Register for the MDPT
To write the MDPT, register in advance through the Office of the Registrar (OReg) at any UFV main campus.
*Note: The $25 fee is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable; however, prior to the exam date, students may switch to another exam sitting at no extra cost.

- Pencil and eraser
- Money for parking
