Meet the team

Andrea is a student at UFV pursuing a degree in sociology with a minor in anthropology. She began working as a student research assistant at CHASI in February 2022. Her work so far has included researching social connectedness and social isolation, looking into mental health concerns and care needs in youth and young adults. She enjoys being a part of the incredible CHASI team and seeing first-hand how her academic interests can positively impact the community.

After her bachelor’s degree, Andrea hopes to move to Ireland and continue her education with the long-term goal of becoming a sociology professor and continuing with social research. Outside of school and work, Andrea enjoys reading, painting, swimming in lakes, and spending time with her friends and family.
