Biography

I am an Assistant Professor in the LPN Access to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. I was an LPN for 10 years, before becoming an RN and am passionate about being part of the LPNA program, where I have an active role in bridging fellow nurses to the next step in their career.

The focus of my masters was in leadership and palliative care, specifically identifying gaps in practice, research dissemination and a resulting knowledge synthesis that laid out palliative care nursing education. My work history includes bedside nursing in ER, medical, gerontology, maternity, palliative care (adult and pediatric) and community. I worked in these various areas as a bedside nurse, educator, and manager.

When not teaching, I am raising my beautiful children and spending as much time as I can outside.
