NURS 495
Fall 2025 - ONLINE
The Oncology Nursing Care and Practice elective provides students the opportunity to explore oncology nursing using case studies and a variety of learning activities. Each case study examines specific concepts around cancer nursing and the lived experience for patients and families. Topics include the biology of cancer, treatments, management and side effects, survivorship, ethical issues, and the meaning for patients and their families. The knowledge gained in the course can be applied to all care settings.
The course is open to nursing students who are enrolled in a BSN or LPN to BSN access program and who have 60 nursing and/or HSC course credits.
