Emergency assembly areas
If there's a need to evacuate a UFV building, please head to the closest emergency assembly area. These are spaces of increased safety and are large enough to allow employees and students to gather and wait for further instructions. It's a good idea to become familiar with assembly areas on your campus ahead of time.
Assembly area signs
Emergency assembly area signs are bright orange with green trim, can be identified with the assembly area logo and with the specific site marker.
Assembly area maps
Assembly areas are marked with a green icon on the interactive maps below. You can also download PDF versions.
Fire drill notice
Fire drills will be conducted on the Abbotsford campus on Monday, September 27 and on the Chilliwack campus on Tuesday, September 28.
When the alarm rings, please evacuate the building using the closest exit. Security and Floor wardens will assist with the evacuation. Please move away from the building and proceed to the nearest Emergency Assembly Area.
You may return to the building when you hear the 'all clear' signal (3 short blasts of an air horn).
