Connection Groups: Relationships and Friendships

February is the month of love! But what does that even mean? How does it look different for everyone? What about platonic love? Come chat with Wellness Peers and fellow students on what relationships mean and look like for you, and maybe even make new connections while you’re at it! Tea, coffee, and good chats available.

You can stay the entire time, or drop-in when it works for you.

Beyond Red Flags: Skills for Healthy, Respectful Relationships

Healthy relationships don’t come with a manual, but this workshop comes close! Whether you’re dating, in a long-term relationship, navigating friendships, or just figuring things out, this interactive session offers practical tools you can actually use.

Led by Danica Elliot, a counsellor with SARA for Women, this trauma-informed workshop explores:

  • Red flags and green flags
  • Boundaries, consent, and communication
  • Attachment and communication styles
  • Reciprocity, values, and recognizing unhealthy dynamics

Among other interesting topics applicable in everyday contexts.

SARA for Women is a community organization supporting women and children in Abbotsford and Mission through outreach, housing, counselling, and crisis support.

Content Notice: This session includes discussion of abusive relationship dynamics, and participants are encouraged to engage at their own comfort level.

RSVP here to indicate interest. This is a drop-in event; no registration required.

Refreshments will be provided. All students are welcome!
