"The nature of UFV’s Theatre program allowed me to explore every aspect of theatre, from acting to design to directing to stage management, and to gain an appreciation for all of the work that goes into every discipline. At UFV there is a strong support system, from the faculty, staff, and other students, that encourages every student to push themselves outside their comfort zone and take the initiative to grow as artists and individuals." Alana Cook graduated in 2014 with a BA in English and an Extended Minor in Theatre. She was immediately accepted into the Aboriginal Youth Internship Program, where she worked as a Program Coordinator for the BC Arts Council. Alana believes that a Theatre degree teaches you leadership, teamwork, inner strength, resilience, patience, professionalism and the best way to share your passion with the world. Alana currently works with the Urban Native Youth Association.
