  • Your own pruners - secateurs or loppers recommended

Whether you are working with a petite city lot, a cozy condo courtyard, a narrow side yard, or simply a collection of well-loved containers, small gardens offer unique opportunities, and surprising advantages.

In this engaging class, you will explore:

  • Smart plant choices for limited spaces, including compact trees and shrubs
  • Design techniques to visually expand your garden
  • Tips for working with containers, balconies, and rooftops
  • A chance to design your own garden space using graph paper

What to bring:

  • Measurements (width and length) of an area you would like to work on
  • Your imagination! We will have sample layouts and plenty of inspiration to get you started

Graph paper will be provided to sketch your ideas.
