Prerequisite: Recommended: Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 6 or higher.
Good skills in reading, writing, and verbal English are required for success in this course.
(Work is done online in English).
*Online course - Students must have a computer/laptop with reliable internet, as well as a working microphone and camera.
Be introduced to custodial/housekeeping operations (both theory and practical applications) in cleaning procedures for all surfaces, including chemicals, waste handling, WHMIS, and other safety matters. This course is based on green cleaning practices as outlined by The Canadian Sanitation Supply Association (CSSA) and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System. It is suitable for those seeking to enter the custodial/cleaning industry and working custodians wishing to improve their skills.
Students may purchase a hardcopy of the textbook if they choose for the first day of class from the UFV Bookstore:
