Apply and pay the application fee
Apply online for fastest processing. Or submit a UFV application form in person at the Office of Registrar on any UFV campus. A 45-dollar fee applies for first-time applications ($20 to reapply).
Applicants currently in Grade 12 may apply during their Grade 12 year.
Take the entrance exam
A UFV staff will contact you by phone to book your entrance exam. There is no fee to take the two-hour exam, which evaluates your reading and math skills.
No more than three attempts will be made to contact you. Be sure to respond to any message you receive to book your exam. If no one has contacted you two weeks after you submitted a complete application, please phone 604-847-5448 to check your application status.
Submit proof of graduation
You will not be considered for the program until you have submitted proof of graduation.
If you are in Grade 12 when you come for your entrance exam, you can present a statement from your school counselor or principal, showing that you are likely to meet graduation requirements by June.
Wait for the next intake in which there is space
Upon successful completion of the exam, we enter your name on a waitlist for the program’s next start date. Note that your name cannot go on the list until you have submitted proof of graduation (or letter from your school stating you will graduate for Grade 12 students).
Starting in late spring, we offer seats to the first 20 students on the waitlist. That is why you should book your exam and provide your documents as soon as you can.
Before classes start, we will call you to notify you of registration procedures. If we cannot reach you after three attempts, your seat will go to the next applicant on the list.
