De-stress Fest

Save the date and tell all students!

The Academic Success Centre, Campus Rec, Student Wellness, the Library and other areas of student support are collaborating to provide a healthy array of resources and services to help you through a traditionally difficult time of the semester.

Just when you need a boost into the exam prep period, we offer academic, creative, physical, nutritional, and other support. There will be activities scheduled throughout the week and in various locations around Abbotsford and CEP campuses.

To join an event through Zoom, follow these directions to join an online ASC workshop.

Citation Station  

Drop by with your referencing and citation questions and ASC peer tutors will help you out.

MakerSpace  

Want to create a stronger mind-body connection? Start by making something at the MakerSpace. You can try out different activities ranging from weaving looms to 3D printers. 

11 am-3 pm Abbotsford Library

MVMENT+  

This class will blend various movement styles with both high and low intensity + awareness on breath and posture to improve mobility, conditioning, strength, balance and flexibility. This will be a full-body workout and equipment will be provided if needed (resistance bands, weights, etc.). Sign up for MVMENT+

Self-Care Yoga  

A mind-body practice that combines yoga postures, movements, and breathing techniques to help you reduce stress, increase your energy and an opportunity to take some "me" time. Sign up for Self-Care Yoga

Facilitated by Student Wellness, this event highlights the therapeutic role of writing.

Blending the benefits of active movement yoga practice and a deep connection to the breath. This class will include a warming of the body through dynamic posture sequences, as well as the balance of quiet, cooling postures for an integrated and nourishing practice to help calm and relax the nervous system. Exam Smarts Workshop  

Getting ready for your exams and wondering how everything will come together? Learn smart strategies to succeed in any kind of exam format. The workshop will cover tips and tricks to master written and multiple-choice exam formats.

This class will connect the body and mind while offering an assortment of movement styles with both high and low intensity to build strength and endurance with active recovery.  Movements will be inspired by everything from HIIT to Barre to Qi Gong and everything in between! Sign up for InSync
