UFV will assess the domestic tuition rate to the following groups who can provide sufficient documentation prior to the fee payment deadline for the term.
- A live-in caregiver with a valid work permit
- An individual who is in Canada to carry out official duties as a diplomatic or consular officer and their dependents, or member of their staff.
- Those determined under the Immigration and Refugee Act to be a Convention Refugee (and now also includes a Protected Person)
- Refugee claimants who have yet to be determined Convention refugees.
- An individual recently approved for permanent residency.
- An individual who has applied for permanent residency and can show all fees have been paid and that their application is in process. This includes spouses and dependents of citizens and permanent residents.
- An individual with a current long-term work permit holding a full-time position and working and/or residing in the Fraser Valley region. The work permit must be for one year or longer and not expire in the first term of attendance. Dependents of the permit holder are included.
